About Guesthouse Sunna
Guesthouse Sunna has been part of Reykjavík's city centre since 1995. For over 30 years, we've offered travellers a comfortable, no-fuss base right in the heart of the capital - close to everything, without the price tag of a big hotel.
Where we are
We sit directly across from Hallgrímskirkja, Iceland's tallest church and one of Reykjavík's most photographed landmarks, with the quiet sculpture garden of the Einar Jónsson Museum right beside it. From here, the shops, cafés and restaurants of Laugavegur, the old harbour, Tjörnin pond and Harpa Concert Hall are all an easy walk away. Bus stop 8, just outside, connects you to airport transfers and day tours around Iceland.

Our guesthouse has 49 rooms and apartments, ranging from simple single rooms with shared bathrooms to larger private apartments suited to families or longer stays. Many rooms look directly onto Hallgrímskirkja. Every room is kept comfortable and well-maintained, and our team is on hand to help with local tips, directions, or booking tours and transfers.
